6d6 killing, armor piercing, penetrating WITH Find Weakness? And that's his backup weapon? I would hate to see his main armaments...
Note: Anyone with Missile Reflection is likely to vaporize him.

I mean, if he paralyzes you, you are hozed. I imagine there are plot reasons for this ... paralyzing beam allows for dramatic dialogue, evil plots, all the silver age kinda stuff.
Once our heroes figure out a way to bypass the beam, he has something potent to fall back on but it is not uber.
